Strategic Importance of this Role to the Company:
The Quality Manager role is extremely important in developing and operating a test strategy at the organizational level and a test plan for every project as part of our Quality Management program, ensuring our deliverables meet the requirements of our clients, and managing internal escalations and improvement activities. This role directly influences the reputation and Client satisfaction levels of every Client. As our organization's quality assurance owner, you will be responsible for driving industry best practices, test methodologies, and automation as well as influencing our coding methods, deployment, and support mechanisms. The role is a leader of Quality Assurance and must inspire, lead and develop a team of A-Players who can help us deliver the highest levels of service with quality in a scalable, predictable, sustainable, and profitable way.
How: My duties and responsibilities in the position are to perform:
1. Project Delivery
a. Daily
i. Attend daily DSM and present your focus for the day and week
ii. Ensure logged hours match spent hours
iii. Plan your day in advance
iv. Check Task deadlines, and make necessary arrangements to ensure timely delivery
v. Update test plan if required
vi. Make sure your team is using odoo for running all test scripts
b. Weekly
i. Conduct a weekly review of all Project test plan execution versus the planned
ii. Plan weekly tasks for upcoming Deployments/ cut-over/ go-live
iii. Provide a written update to your manager
iv. Review logged hours versus spent hours to increase efficiency
v. Deliver tasks on time and with quality
vi. Update test plan/ scripts where required
2. Support Services
a. Daily
i. Ensure your tasks and tickets are deployed “clean”
ii. Ensure your test scripts are updated after resolving internal issues
3. People and Team Development
a. Exemplify the company tenets and seek coaching opportunities to develop yourself and your team.
b. Weekly
i. Ensure your performance meets the A player score/agreement
c. We need a test strategy at the organizational level
d. Review test strategy every month and Suggest improvements based on findings and feedback
Note: Requirements, guidelines, and metrics will change/update as this role grows in organization and changes will be timely communicated as well
